Unlikely survivor, Lada



Remember these cars when they were introduced to the Canadian market? Half the price of other cars, they turned out to last about half as long too. They were readily identifiable at night because one headlight usually was at half brightness and during the day by the trail of blue smoke. Yet here is one on the road 30 years later running along in regular traffic like a real car. True, it smelled liked the choke was stuck on but no blue smoke! Apologies for the poor pictures- taken through the windshield at a stop light.
