Here's another ordinary middling-quality Japanese-made wrench found at a used tool store. I've never seen the name and there's no info online that I can find on this manufacturer.

Yeah, they were a chain in New England in the 70's and early 80's which is probably why I remember them. Here's the text of a 1986 CNN article about the founder:
It would have made sense back then to sell basic tools at an auto parts store because people didn't have the options for buying tools then that we have today. But again this is just a guess...the ADAP on this wrench could mean something else entirely. Looking at the pictures it could be as late as late 80's vintage maybe?
