Those big, wide doors remind me of an old 2 door Mercury Monarch I used to have. When I parked diagonally next to somebody I had to open my door very carefully to prevent denting the side of the other car, and often had to "squeeze" out of my car if we were close. And the hinge pins wore so that the door dropped off the latches when opened.
Now that you mentioned it, I think I did have to pull up on the door handle when I closed the door.
