This is a nice little #2 (Red) Robertson screwdriver, nothing unusual except the price is molded right into the handle, how unconcerned about inflation were those times? The Cluthé company was started in 1939, any guesses as to the time period it might have been produced and sold?

My in-laws have a couple of biscuit tins (=crackers in the colonies) with the price as part of the design. Long time ago...
I sure hope that shaft is big enough to keep it from snapping while torquing down a screw. I'm thinking mid 1970's...
I would suspect mid-seventies also, a time not known for stable prices. I would presume the cost to produce was so few pennies that they could afford to lock in a retail price.
Great big shaft, little business end: Possible that the tool has been repurposed by some thrifty person with more spare time than is really healthy?
