Amazingly it is the same friction drive setup on my Snapper LT16 lawn tractor. I was surprised it can tow a large , heavily loaded trailer without problem or slip. It is an ingenious system that is simple and robust not to mention an infinite number of gear ratios. I am certain it could be used in more applications.
