Villiers flywheel wrench

Finally a wrench made for me, one that's designed to be used with a hammer. I've never seen one.

Actually images scanned just to enjoy the quality of the sketch work.

a brass spanner maybe?...well...we kind of use impact ring spanners a lot, specially on disassembling anything with nuts above M30... When it comes to big nuts, they're essential. Either them or a cutting torch. Also handy when tightening, but easy to over torque a bolt.
It's always a betting occasion when someone raises a 5kg hammer to hit a M100 ring spanner being hold tight against a stubborn nut by another guy's hand.

It's the apprentice that gets to hold the wrench! These days I prefer an impact gun. But I will look for one of these wrenches at swap meets.

The spanner's design is what is known as a slogging spanner. Not sure if these are made in the food alde USA but in Germany companies such as Gedore and Stahlwille manufacture them in both metric and AF.

That line should have read "Good Olde USA' - that is what happens when you don't read what you have typed!!
