Airship Shenandoah

The USS Shenandoah was the first airship designed to use helium rather than the flammable hydrogen commonly used.  It was built in 1922-23 at Lakehurst Naval Air Station and first flew in 1923. In 1925 on it's 57th flight, it crashed during squalls in eastern Ohio.
