Good Readers: Tiger

An excellent 1979 novel about a British patrol in Normandy that has to take on a German Tiger tank, and each man's back story with the same model of war machine.  Very graphic description of the poor blighters caught in Cromwells, Shermans ("Tommy Cookers" to the Germans, and "Ronsons"("Lights first time, every time") to the British) and Fireflies by Tigers, as well as the awesome defensive and offensive armament of these 56-ton monsters.

James Rouch is a British author who has written three novels concerning World War II.
