Saunders Roe Princess Flying Boat

At the same time as the Brabazon was being built, Saunders Roe was busy looking back to the days of the Pan Am Clippers. This aircraft was powered by 10 Bristol Proteus turbines turning counter-rotating props giving a speed of about 380 mph. Too big, too expensive and the world was not going back to landing airplanes in water.
