I find it interesting that many of these old companies go to the trouble of casting in dates but not their company name, maybe they were just not obsessed with advertising back then.
I suspect this particular wagon jack is an improvement to a patent issued to CHARLES JAMES SHIRREFF, OF BROOKVILLE, CANADA on Feb 5, 1901. Others online identical to yours show the 1901 date but yours clearly shows 1902.
Searching patent information literally makes my head hurt so that's as far as I'm taking it.
