Here's a small enamelled cast iron dish of some sort, about 4 1/2 x 6" in size, apparently from the Moffat company, who were better known for their stoves and other appliances. Maybe it was a promotional item, possibly an ashtray? Ideas?

I think it's a spoon rest. Probably promotional as you said but quite useful while cooking on the stovetop.
Art Nouveau sausage warmer/server. The wide (and subtly mammaried) part would have held a grilled bratwurst; the leftover space was for two slices of bread-and-butter pickle and an elegantly formed dribble of mustard.
It might be the only one in existence, whatever it is. I'd say Art Nouveau, but that isn't a hard and fast rule for age, early part of the last century might be as close as we can get. "Subtly mammaried"- I like that.

Spoon rest seems about right. Any idea of the date? I can't decide if the style is Nouveau or Deco.

Family shmamily. I'm a guy, right? (Uh ... right?) We come with bosomvision, congenitally and also from birth.
Of course, if Mr. G ever decides to form a house band, "Subtly Mammaried" would be a great name.
