Saab 96

Gianni Marin, The Motor Car, London House and Maxwell, 1963
The Saab 96 was powered by an 841 cc 3 cylinder two-stroke engine giving about 38 hp, later increased to 47. Despite being coupled to a three speed standard transmission and front wheel drive it was known as a high performance car. The two stroke engine was offered till 1968 alongside the V4 fourstroke which had been introduced the year before. The 96 was sold till 1980.
Being a two stroke guy, I think I should find one of the early ones!

From Wikipedia...On August 16, 2011 a 1966 Saab 96 driven by Alex LaFortune set a new speed record at the Bonneville Salt Flats for stock body production cars with 750 cc engines at 110.113 MPH!
