Jim Ryder, This was one of my first jobs in California after returning from the Army in late 60’s. We made all types of tape measures at the Monrovia factory. My boss was Mr Carlson. He put me in shipping which was good work at that time. I remember sending steel coils out to be heat treated, returning, putting through the paint line for white or yellow. Then going through the press for putting numbers and markings. Lot of steps in the entire process learned a lot but night school was calling and I needed a step up. H K Porter did that for me.
