Timm N2T Tutor

The Timm Trainer was the first aircraft to built of resin-impregnated plywood, giving a stronger and lighter structure than plywood. The US Navy ordered 262 of them in 1942. They were all delivered the next year and proved to a be a good basic trainer. The material proved to be not as long lasting as hoped and most aircraft had a short life. Even so, 10 remained in flying condition in 2001 according to Wikipedia.
