1930s Motorcycle Magazine Illustrations


Back when photography was not so common, magazines relied on artists and illustrators to help tell the story and fill the pages. The drawings have a charm to them, I doubt if photographs would have added anything more to an article than the drawings shown below.
 
The illustration for an article on keeping your motorcycle safe from theft. Our hero is the swashbuckling shopper while the suit-wearing thief loiters suspiciously near the target.
