Flying Cigar

Tom Sinnickson.  A Child's Book of Planes.  NY:  Maxton Publishers, Inc., 1951.
The Convair B36 "Peacemaker" first entered service in 1948.  Note that it's a "pusher" type aircraft.  The last remaining example is now at the Pima Air & Space Museum in Tucson, Arizona.  Read about it's travails at The Last B-36.
