Biplane in the Hangar

Richard Bach  Biplane.  A Panther Book (Granada), 1966, 1981.  Photographs by Paul E. Hansen & Richard Bach.
Very evocative photo.  In spite of Jonathan Livingston Seagull, Bach actually wrote some excellent books about the experience of flying.  Biplane is about his Atlantic to Pacific trip in a 1929 Detroit-Ryan Speedster, model Parks P-2A, for which he traded a 1946 Fairchild 24 that he had rebuilt himself from the ground up.  This was his second book, published in 1966 when he was only 30 years old.
