Information on these engines appears to be incomplete or conflicting. Apparently built from the 1910s into the 1950s by the Des Jardins company of Quebec, they seem to be based on or copied from Waterloo Boy Engines.
Someone in the company liked romantic names, an earlier line of engines was named "Call of the West".
