We still make things in this country...
One of my favorite pieces of furniture, the K700 stool- designed in 1969. It is the most famous design of Philip Salmon and Hugh Hamilton’s three-year partnership and was originally available in red, yellow, black, white, or polished chrome. The iconic shape is produced by a four-point bend in a single piece of tube steel. Knock-offs are two piece- welded under the seat.
Available from http://www.haworthcollection.com/hc/products/seating/K700 and still made in the same Rexdale factory today.
